What rooms in my space should I photograph?
All of them. This includes the entryway, kitchen, dining room, living room, each bedroom, and each bathroom that tenants will have access to. Since renters likely can't visit in person before renting, photographing every area of your space allows them to get a good tour before requesting to rent and moving in.
Do I need a big, fancy camera to do this?
Nope! You can use your smartphone or a camera that takes at least 8-megapixel photos. (You can find this information by doing a simple online search about your device and its megapixels.)
What are some key photography tips?
Tidy up. This includes making the beds, cleaning dirty dishes and putting them away, placing pillows nicely on beds and couches, pushing in all chairs around tables, picking up any stray clothes or items on the floor, etc. You want renters to see photographs of your place in its best possible condition.
Photograph your space during daylight. This makes the space look larger because it's brighter. (You can even turn some lights on to help if the space is darker.)
Position yourself in the corners of the rooms. This yields the best angles. to make the space look larger and allows renters to understand the room's dimensions.
Shoot wide. Photographing horizontally (so the photo is more wide than tall) allows more of the room to be in the view.
Upload your photos to Kopa at their original size. Your photos should be as clear as possible, which means they need to be large so they don't get pixelated or blurry.
