Once you’ve found a listing you're interested in, you'll include a message to the host with the booking request. This is to provide an introduction and, if desired, double-check the availability of the space for your dates. The host must accept your stay, so feel free to ask any additional questions about their home that aren't included in the listing details.
Once you've sent a booking request to a host, you can continue messaging them by going to your Inbox. There you will see your conversations, and you can click on the appropriate one. Most hosts respond within a few hours. Keep in mind that you may be in different time zones or the host may have another full-time job and might be busy.
The host isn’t responding
If a host hasn't responded, consider sending booking requests to other hosts of listings that interest you.
Sending multiple requests
You can have up to 8 active booking requests at any given time. As soon as a host accepts one of those booking requests (and you pay the rental deposit), the rest of your booking requests will automatically expire.
If you hit your limit of 8, you can cancel any active booking requests you are no longer interested in by visiting your pending Booking Requests, so that you can send new booking requests.
